I recently visited the outer banks of N.C. The size of the sounds and rivers are overwhelming. A program like Salt strong could help narrow down where to fish. We were successful at fishing the surf but i would love to do some inshore fishing on a boat.

I have a Coleman crawdad, (pelican) it is very stable we fish 2 out of it standing casting. Maybe they changed the design when pelican bought them out.

In VA if you buy used you better get a title for boat or trailer cause your pretty screwed if you don't. It's damn near impossible to get one.

been risking it with a trolling motor on my ascend kayak cuz its such a hassle to register a 2nd hand kayak + its impossible to read the VIN # on the ascend kayaks cuz they do a sloppy job on stamping the #

I’m looking at trying this until I find a proper boat trailer. Issue is my boat is 5ft longer than the trailer box so it will have to be elevated above the 2ft side walls. This will make using a ramp tricky.

The battery box. If I was to turn over in my kayak, will that battery box save my battery? I have been wanting to add a trolling motor to my kayak but was always worried about turning over with a battery. Also, great videos. 👍🏼

I almost never use live shrimp as bait. imo the best and most durable bait to use for all snapper, grouper, red, etc are baby pin fish the size of a quarter to a half dollar coin. It helps minimize trash fish and it's near impossible for the target species to steal it. They have only one choice, attack your pin fish full force. (I'm in my Yak by Hathaway, Bailey or Dupont every weekend)

Not too far from where you are located ( maybe 100 yards) in the video is the rubble from the old Dupont Bridge that ran alongside this bridge. If you know where to look you can catch monster Mangrove snappers, keeper sized ARS, and everything in between.

you know one thing i thing would be neat is if these companies like sundolphin (12 foot john boat) would make actual addon's for their boats. for example for that unstable sundolphin, picture a pair extendable pontoons. when retracted they are tight against the hull, but extended they slide out to maybe 2' away from the boat... this gives the boat a much wider beam increasing stability. It could alsy increase the max loading of the boat as they start at only about 500 lbs. Next, picture a slide in Cuddy cabin, now your little john boat has a place to hide from the rain and gives it somewhat of an extended range option. Finally with the cuddy cabin on, maybe a biminy top for the back :) now you have a 12' flat bottom cuddy cabin cruiser... with a little 8 hp kicker motor, you can go on long camping trips solo or with friend dropping anchor resting in the cabin...

instead of a bimini top, look into a boat umbrella. it can mount on the back of your seat with only one pole.

Love the videos. I just bought one from Facebook marketplace based on your reviews. 55 lb thrust trolling motor. I ordered a Redodo 100 ah lithium battery. Planning to do decks, wiring for lights, potentially a 2 stroke 3.5 hp outbound, fish finder, rod holders, etc. Really awesome to be able to toss it in the bed of the truck and get in any water. Planning on taking it to the gulf soon for some bay fishing.
